I talk to God in the woods. And He listens.

I love getting out into the woods. Early mornings especially, watch the sunrise and hear nature come to life. And more than any other reason the woods are where I best talk with God and I feel His presence. I praise God for His marvelous creations and thank Him for doing it all for me. I feel the presence of Jesus when I talk to Him. I tell Him the good things, the bad things, my joys and sorrows, my victories and shortcomings, my hopes and dreams.  I ask for understanding, guidance, wisdom, patience, the strength to do what I need to do, that He continue His work in me and a lot of other things. I feel Christ here with me, more than anywhere else. I feel reassured of His love, that He has a plan and that no matter what may happen, Jesus will always be there for me. And, that is a fantastic feeling indeed.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1

What a great God we serve! He did this for us.

16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Colossians 1:16-17

It boggles my mind that God created the Earth, for us, but an even better example of how much He loves us exists.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 3:16-17

I can’t say enough how marvelous, loving and gracious is our God. He gave us the Earth, and more than that, He gave us His Son, Jesus Christ so we can be saved.

I can’t add much to that.

Lord, I praise You and thank You for the creation of the Earth and for all things on it. I thank You for my life, and more importantly, for my salvation through Jesus Christ, without whom I would perish. I ask that You continue to work on me and make me the Christian that You wish me to be and that You use me to show Christ in me. I pray for loved ones that You work on them and through them as well. Draw us all closer to You and show us Your will and way for our lives.

Thanks to any readers. Just like to take time to talk about good things and not just my sorrows. Try to be a blessing to others today.
