He said it, and it was so.

Looking out the front window at the sunrise this morning I got to thinking about how God created everything. He said, “let there be light and there was light.” is really a powerful statement. He just said it, and it happened. I am amazed at what a mighty and powerful God He is and how He did all He did for us. He had a plan for creation and a plan for us all. He HAS a plan for all of us I should say. Sadly, we sometimes get in the way of His plans. The most amazing thing (although, it really should not be amazing)  I have noticed in my life is that when I stop trying to be in charge and give things to Him, He makes things better and leads me as He wants me to go. When I follow God and seek Christ all things are better. Oh, there are challenges at times, but those challenges are so much easier to face when He is with me and in control.

But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Luke 12:31

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12

Just amazing that God created all He did and then, when mankind did not do as we should have done, He sent His Son to lead us, to sacrifice Himself and to redeem us.

Lord, I praise Your Holy Name and thank You for the creation of all. I thank You for the sacrifice Christ made for me that I may have salvation. I pray in Jesus Name that You continue to help me seek His light, and that I seek You first. Help me continue to grow in Christ. I glorify You and ask that You draw us all closer to You and teach us how to better seek Christ and to know the true light that You wish us to have so we can see our paths in life better and know that we are following You as You want us to follow. Help us all be the servants You desire us to be for Your glory.

Thanks for the visit. I hope all are able to bask in the glory of the light He made for us. Have a blessed day.

Sometimes the darkness tries to return.

Some days, due to one frustration, challenge or difficulty, I feel myself  start to let the darkness back in.  I start to feel angry, bitter, hostile, harassed, mistreated, or any number of emotions. Oh, I feel it, and sometimes one wants to let themselves go there. Even if a bad place to be, there is a certain familiarity, you know how to act or react and if you don’t know exactly how you just do with little or no regard. Combat is like that at times.  In a strange way a lot of soldiers who have been in combat look forward to it. No matter how terrifying there is a comfort. But, not good for one to go into such places. No, the darkness is not where I want to or need to be EVER! I spent too long in the darkness. I did not like being there, or like myself as I was then.

Well now, what should I have done and do I do now? I turn on THE LIGHT! I pray and seek Christ. I look to His word. His presence lights my world, it eases my suffering, Christ brings me what He knows I need. His hand on me and my life.

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.                    I John 1:5-7

To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. Luke 1:79

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12

Yes, Jesus is THE light I need, the salvation, forgiveness and mercy I badly needed. He continues to work on me, to better light my way. Now, there is light and not darkness. Christ is SO GOOD!

Lord, I worship You and praise Your Holy Name. I thank You for bringing Your light into my darkness, showing my Your path and way for me. I thank You for my salvation. I pray You continue to show me Your light, Your way, Your truth and that You draw me closer to God. I pray that You continue to work in the hearts and minds of love ones that they feel You in their lives as well and find themselves in Your light and presence. Show them Your way Jesus that they will walk in the path You have for them.

Thanks for stopping by, I pray that all are blessed today and are a blessing to at least one other person.
