It’s Six Thirty: Where should YOU be now?

(second picture added for younger folks that may not know how to read old fashioned clocks) LOL

So, there I was, piddling around and thinking I had more time than I did when my alarm went off. My regular alarm is set for six thirty but on days I need to get around early I usually don’t mess with turning off the normal alarm, I just set an earlier alarm in addition to the regular alarm time and when it goes off again I just fumble with my phone trying to find it and turn it off then go about my business. Well, that morning I had somewhere to be and the alarm going off reminded me I should have been on the road already to avoid traffic jams and to give myself a little cushion as far as time goes. But instead I would be cutting it a little close to being on time. I finished up and got on my way and God was looking out for me as traffic wasn’t bad and I arrived at my destination just a little early so things were fine.

But, it got me to thinking about the times I was one place and should have been elsewhere. Doing one thing when I should have been doing another. Not just due to running late, but because I got caught up in one thing or another and was not where I really should have been at the time I should have been there, thinking about times when I was younger and I should have been home instead of running around or I was running around with people with whom I should not have been associating.

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:11-13

A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.  PROVERBS 16:9

God has a plan for us and a time he wants us in certain places and times the He wants and He wants that for our benefit and for His glory. He won’t stop us when we do things that He doesn’t want us to do and He won’t force us to be where and when He wants us someplace but I have to think it hurts Him to see us do things against His will. But He still loves us and tries to bring us back to where He wants us. Thankfully, He does not give up. He could have easily given up on me but He didn’t and I did finally get to the place He desires. God is far more gracious and forgiving than we deserve.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

There is a time and place for everything and even though we humans sometimes interfere with God’s plans He is faithful and true to put us back on the path He has laid out for us. WHAT AN AMAZING GOD WE SERVE.

1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

2 Corinthians 6:1-2

But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.  Mark 13:32

So, I ask you again: It’s 6:30, where should you be now?

Heavenly Father, I thank You for my salvation and praise Your Holy Name. I thank You for reminding me that there is an anointed time and place for me and I ask in the name of Jesus that You continue to guide my steps and that I know the difference between my will and Yours and that I always follow Your way and not my own. I pray that You help others to know Your plans for them so that they may be in the place and at the time that You intend and that they listen to Your will for them. Please draw my family and loved ones to You so we can all serve You.

I do appreciate the time you readers take to visit and read my blog. I hope something I write blesses you and that you are able to be a blessing to others.
