treasure-chest

I WON THE LOTTERY!!!! I have TREASURES beyond compare. No, not power ball. This is treasure that means much more to me. It is the treasure of Christ in me. It is the precious riches of life eternal with my Lord and Savior. AND, so much better than power ball is that I didn’t have to pay hard earned money for a ticket and wait and hope to see if I won or not. NO, I DID NOT. I simply gave Jesus something worthless, not just worthless, but something that was less than that. A deficit, an outstanding balance, a huge debt, I gave Him those debts and He rewarded me with treasure. No, I ask you, isn’t that a Glorious and Gracious Savior or not? I know the answer, YOU know the answer. Yes, Jesus is a Gracious and Glorious Savior indeed.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. Matthew 6:19-22

Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. And they that heard [it] said, Who then can be saved? Luke 18:22-26

Yes, riches beyond believe, treasure beyond compare! I can’t say more than that, to try would be poor effort to guild the Lily!

Lord, Praise your holy name, I thank you for all the riches you have in store for me. For the life eternal, for no matter what I do, or do not, gather on earth, it can’t compare to the glory you have in store for me. Thank you for all your blessings and mercy. I ask that you continue to work in my life, in my heart. Make me into that which you would have me to become. I lay all my sorrows and troubles, heartaches, pains, worries and cares at your feet. I give them all to you. I stand in awe of what a mighty and glorious Christ I serve. Use me as you will. Help me find my way through this life but in a better way. So that my words and actions glorify you. I pray you work on the hearts of loved ones to show them your plan in their life. Open their hearts to Jesus and the blessings we have waiting for us. Place a burden on their hearts and a conviction in their souls that they listen and obey you.

Thank you Jesus for everything I have and I thank you even more for what is in store in my future.

Amen
