NO, NOT THAT KIND!!!!!! I promise, I do not believe that man came from monkeys. I am speaking about my spiritual evolution. BUT, Since I opened the door quickly. From a scientist’s standpoint, Evolution is not correct. Now, creatures change over time, due to a variety of influences, genes mutate, some characteristics become dominant, some disappear because those traits did not help the creatures survive long term so the humans and other creatures today are not exactly like those a thousand years ago. One need only to look at the different breeds of dog. Some occurred naturally, other breeds were developed by people selectively breeding. Where they bred different species and then, when they had what they thought was a good result, further refined the breed by only breeding the best specimens. God does this with all organisms. I don’t believe that a type of evolution is not in keeping with my Christian believes. I do though, believe that the fallacy taught that one single celled organism suddenly appeared on Earth because certain chemicals and right level of heat made it possible. No, I do not believe in that. I believe God created us and changes us over time. When considering the human species, he has changed us over time. But, besides the physical changes that occur over generations, there is a spiritual change than can occur in each and every one of us. THAT is my topic for today. Please, do not try to debate creation vs evolution. I am not seeking scientific debate or to discuss the spiritual implication of one vs the other.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 1:26
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
Yes, God made me in His image, He created me. He also, through Christ created new a new me, a new creature.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Now, this new creature is now walking a lot different than I did 5 years ago, even 5 months ago. I hope and pray that He continues to work with me as I continue to grow in Christ, to get better at being what He wishes me to be to glorify Him.
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and [in] all judgment; Philippians 1:9
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 1 Peter 2:2
Simple message and simple lesson for me today. I think I see a difference in me, I hope that tomorrow, and every day after I see more differences, GOOD Differences. I praise Him for the new creature He has made me. I thank Him for the mercy someone like me was given.
Lord, I praise you and glorify your name. I thank you for all you have done for me. All the hope you give me for a wonderful life serving you. I ask you continue to help me evolve into the man and Christian you want me to be. I wasn’t worthy of your love and mercy but you gave it to me anyway. You are making me less unworthy. I praise you for that. please work in the hearts and minds of loved ones, help them see your truths and to see what you plan for their lives. Help us all listen for your voice so we know the truth.
thank you Lord for your mercy and kindness.
